Castiel stood there in shock, he was still getting used to be human, to the fear and the pain, the needs and wants, the finality of death, the short period humans had, how he could feel with what was left of his grace his body decaying every day.

Why would anyone do this day by day? Why? Why wouldn’t he jut end his life…  Dean was looking at him in the eyes. “What stupid idea got into that big head of yours…?”

“I-I… Dean, I can’t do this, I had breakfast with Phoebe this morning, she used to look after me…she was singing when we drove back…” he took a deep breath. “She was planning on taking a shower and letting Claire cut her hair.” He wasn’t looking at Dean. “What is the point if we’re gonna die anyways…”

Dean moved closer. “Because that’s what we do… now don’t waste my time.”
