getting insecure

I remember a couple years ago when every story I ever wrote (or tried at least) ended up in private entries because I felt self conscious of the things that would come out of it.

I know I don't have neither the ability nor the grammar of a person that should be writing for a public, and it took me almost ten years to get the courage to let others read my stuff. still I knw sometimes is not even worth the effort, and of course not the time of any person out there.

suddenyl and out of the blue i'm reconsidering my accounts, FF-net is a gonner, that's sure, and AO3 was never active to start with, right?

and this one? private seems like the way to go.

Put yourself out there, hon. It's absolutely terrifying, but you have to go for it. We all have to work hard to get things how we want them, and even then we're not always satisfied. It's very easy to get disheartened by all the other stuff out there, but if you enjoy writing then you shouldn't, IMO, keep it to yourself. It may not be everyone's taste but you should write for YOU. I've been *extremely* lucky in that people have been enjoying my story and I've had some lovely comments, but that's not why people should write. Do it for yourself to prove that you can. Other people's opinions do matter, obviously, but I honestly think that being brave enough to post is a huge deal. There are far more readers than writers...that's because most people aren't brave enough to post. Be one of the strong ones! <3

I like your stories. I'd be sad if you stopped writing.
